--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"... as long as we are alive, we must keep chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. Then, if we chant until the very moment of death, Shakyamuni, Many Treasures, and the Buddhas of the ten directions will come to us instantly, exactly as they promised during the ceremony at Eagle Peak. Taking our hands and bearing us on their shoulders, they will carry us to Eagle Peak. "

(On Practicing the Buddha's Teachings - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 395) Selection source: The New Human Revolution, Seikyo Shimbun, July 30th, 2010

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"British historian Arnold J. Toynbee (1889–1975) said to me: 'In my opinion, the best safeguard against fascism is to establish social justice to the maximum possible extent.'"

"It's important to speak out for what is right and to remain true to one's beliefs. We must transform society from its foundations and firmly establish a philosophy of peace and human rights in the heart of each and every individual. Building a solid force of young people dedicated to that cause is the path to victory in the struggle to establish the correct teaching for the peace of the land."

SGI Newsletter No. 8032, SGI President Ikeda's Youth Study Sessions: YOUTH AND THE WRITINGS OF NICHIREN DAISHONIN - The Banner of "Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land"¯Part 1 [of 2], translated July 7th, 2010
