-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To our dear Young Women's Division members:
With "Kayo"* group leaders taking the lead,
I hope that today, too, you advance cheerfully and in high spirits.
Let's together plant the seeds of hope in the hearts
of this friend and that friend!

(*) The young women's division in Japan made a new start, with the title for "group leader" now being called "Kayo leader" [taken from the name of the young women's training group Kayo-kai]. It is not directly connected to the actual Kayo-kai Group though.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Therefore, those who become Nichiren's disciples and lay believers should realise the profound karmic relationship they share with him and spread the Lotus Sutra as he does. Being known as a votary of the Lotus Sutra is a bitter, yet unavoidable, destiny."

(Letter to Jakunichi-bo - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 994)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"If members are envious of and trying to undercut one another it is a manifestation of the workings of devilish functions disrupting the advance of kosen-rufu."

"Leaders need to reach out and embrace everyone in such a way that enables them all to exercise their abilities freely and fully.

"Incompetent leaders tend to label as 'worthless' anyone who doesn't follow their directives. We can't foster capable individuals with that attitude. We need to grow in order to promote the growth of others.

"Patiently teach people what they need to know and, striving for mutual understanding, advance harmoniously. Unity is the foundation for fostering capable individuals."
