Let's chant determined Daimoku and dash forth with the battle cry of victory,
advancing towards the unparalleled peak of life!

* Chugoku is an area of Japan which is in the midst of some
rather important "activities!"

in Japan in one of the major national newspapers like The Japan Times or The Yomiuru.

chrysanthemums in full bloom—
the citadel of Soka.

"Chrysanthemums sent by members from various areas around Japan are now adorning the Soka Gakkai Headquarters to celebrate the anniversary of our organisation's establishment, November 18th.

"Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'The chrysanthemum, which continues to bloom after other plants have withered, is known as a sacred plant. When the world is at peace, worthies are hard to distinguish. It is when the age is in turmoil that both sages and fools come into view' (cf. WND-1, 845). A person's true worth shines clearly in times of trial. That's why, even in the face of adversity, we should continue to live our lives with confidence and optimism, in a way that is true to ourselves."
