To all of our members in the great Chubu Region*,
our stronghold of kosen-rufu and the very centre of Japan,
let's show to others what great triumphs of the people are!
Let's advance together, with patience and perseverance,
along "this road" of justice & truth that we have vowed to take.

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The Brazilian author Erico Verissimo (1905–1975) wrote: 'When the winds of change blow, some people raise barriers while others build windmills.'[1] We must never let change hold us back or intimidate us. Instead, we should boldly seize it as an opportunity, using our courage and wisdom to create from it something of even more value for people's happiness and the welfare of society. This is the Soka way of life demonstrated by the first three presidents.

"President Dorival Almeida Ferreira of Brazil's Dom Bosco College of Higher Education, who visited the Soka University campus in Tokyo in September, has also experienced the difficulties and challenges of founding a school in a time of great change. Speaking of his philosophy in life, he has said: 'When you decide to do something, you should persevere at it until you succeed.... Don't blame others for what you can't do, but ask yourself what it is that you can do.'[2]"
