"The SGI is forever committed to offering sound guidance in faith. Offering guidance in faith is essentially encouraging members to chant to the Gohonzon.

"When members come to you with their problems, listen sincerely and attentively. If you don't know how to advise them, take them to see someone who can. This is also an important part of offering guidance.

"Second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda said: 'When giving guidance to members, it is important that you explain things in a convincing manner.' When members truly understand and accept your guidance, they will move forwards of their own accord."
