----DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT----
"Life is a struggle. That's what makes life interesting. Having problems enables us to challenge our human revolution.

"Life may be full of difficulties. But our strength as practitioners of the Mystic Law is that we can create value from those difficulties.

"Once we have embarked on an endeavour for the sake of kosen-rufu--for the sake of peace, happiness, and goodness--we must triumph without fail. I hope that the leaders of the new era will chant, conduct dialogue, and strive their hardest with this determination.

"As leaders of kosen-rufu, we must be determined to resolutely protect our fellow members, to stand firm against abuses by the authorities, and to defeat the three powerful enemies. I have lived all my life with this spirit.

"Second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda often used to say: 'May the three powerful enemies appear quickly! When they do, let's fight against them together, with joy and courage.' Battling and overcoming hardships is the way to attain Buddhahood. It is an opportunity to transform our karma."

SGI Newsletter No. 8884, On Our Shared Journey for Kosen-rufu--I, (29) Win in the Present Moment and Set an Example for Future Generations, from 2nd Sep., 2012, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun translated 5th Dec. 2013,
