-- TO MY FRIENDS --
I hope that none of us are ever the cause of a fire!
Never leave flammable items strewn around.
Watch out that dust doesn't accumulate around wires and plugs.
Let's exercise the utmost care
and at the same time share that sense of caution and concern
with the neighbours.
Together, let's exercise our "usual prudence,"(*)
(*) Gosho, "Strategy of the Lotus Sutra," WND I, p. 1000, "It is a
matter of rejoicing that your usual prudence and courage, as well as
your firm faith in the Lotus Sutra, enabled you to survive unharmed."

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"What does Bodhisattva Never Disparaging's profound respect for people
signify? The purpose of the appearance in this world of Shakyamuni
Buddha, the lord of teachings, lies in his behaviour as a human
being."
(The Three Kinds of Treasure - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, page 852)

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"...if the aim is growth in propagation and to promote subscriptions to organ publications, explicitly state that these are the two goals. If you recite a long litany of things you want to do, coming up with a list of 10 or 20 items, it's the same as having no emphasis at all. There should be a strong focus. Activity reports should also be attuned to the specific topics of that meeting.
"Moreover, to make sure that leaders aren't saying the same thing at the meeting, you can have one explain the goal and purpose for the activity through personal experiences and another by quoting the Gosho, for instance.
It is up to leaders to give members clarity and inspiration.
"To do that, you need to have a firm grasp of the significance of the particular activity and be filled with enthusiasm and the spirit to lead by example. That will be the driving force for a 'meeting revolution.'"
