A translation of President Ikeda's "To My Friends"
published in the Seikyo Shimbun and more.

-- TO MY FRIENDS --
What does it take to be a true victor?
It's a person who patiently continues
to put forth their best effort to the very end.
That one courageous step that we take today
definitely opens up a path to great accomplishments thereafter.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Anyone who teaches others even a single phrase of the Lotus Sutra is the envoy of the Thus Come One."
(A Ship to Cross the Sea of Suffering - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 33)
Selection source: SGI President Ikeda's guidance, Seikyo Shimbun, March 9th, 2014
Monday, March 10th, 2014
—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ——
"The Daishonin writes: 'One may put [the mind] inside a mustard seed and the mustard seed will not be stretched nor will the mind be cramped thereby. One may put it in the vast heavens and the heavens will not be too broad for it nor the mind too narrow to fill them' (WND-2, 843).
"No matter how confining your circumstances may seem, you can have a big heart that nothing can bind or shackle. At the same time, when you go out into a vast, unknown world, your mind can soar boundlessly without constraint.
"The mind is always free and unfettered; it has limitless power. Faith in the Mystic Law draws out that great power. Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo lets us reveal our best possible self. The reason we practise Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism is to unlock our potential, infinitely vaster than the sea or the sky."
