--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"So, when you come of age and take faith in Buddhism, you must first of all think of paying the debt you owe to your father and mother. Mount Sumeru is paltry in comparison to the towering debt you owe your father; the great ocean is shallow compared to the profoundness of the debt you owe your mother. You must bear in mind these debts you owe to your father and mother."

(The Four Virtues and the Four Debts of Gratitude - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Volume 2, page 637)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"There is not the least doubt that we, the members of the SGI, are Bodhisattvas of the Earth. We are all great emissaries of the Buddha.

"We have indisputably been carrying out the noble mission of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth to sow the seeds of Buddhahood in the lives of all people and making actual efforts towards the realisation of kosen-rufu. No one can destroy this organisation acting in accord with the Buddha's intent and decree, nor should we allow anyone to try.

"Nothing will ever hinder our progressWe will continue to freely and confidently open new paths for kosen-rufu. We will lead wonderful, fulfilling lives. This is the true purpose for which the SGI exists and the essence of Nichiren Buddhism."

SGI Newsletter No. 9272, SGI President Ikeda's Speech Excerpts, from 7th July, 2015, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 17th July, 2015
