-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Those with courage
are bright and cheerful.
Those with conviction
are always a pleasure to have around.
It is said, "Adversity makes a man wise."
Let's dare to take on all challenges that confront us
and continue to strive to establish an unshakable
rock-solid self to the very last moment!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Human beings are equally vulnerable. They give their lives for shallow, worldly matters but rarely for the Buddha's precious teachings. Small wonder they do not attain Buddhahood."
(Letter from Sado - WND, Vol. 1, page 301)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"In the famous Japanese epic The Tale of the Heike, just before the decisive battle between the rival Taira and Minamoto clans, the young hero Minamoto no Yoshitsune[1] says: 'In battle, what I like is to attack flat out and win.'[2]
"When facing any challenge, it is important to attack it with all our might. Concentrating all our powers on it is the way to victory. The basic strategy in any struggle is to tackle it with all-out effort.
"This spirit of Yoshitsune is very similar to the Gakkai spirit.
"Let's also advance with the determination to actively take on all challenges, and experience the joy of achieving one exhilarating victory after another."
SGI Newsletter No. 9606, Showing Appreciation for Those Who Work Hard Behind the Scenes, from the April 24, 2017, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 8th May, 2017
