The Gosho states:
"The stronger one's faith,
the greater the protection of the gods."*/**
The extent to which the winds of adversity
blow against us,
is the extent to which we must move
the protective forces of the universe
with our strong inner determination
and daimoku!
* Gosho: "The Supremacy of the Law", page 614, "…the Great Teacher Miao-lo stated, 'The stronger one's faith, the greater the protection of the gods.' So long as one maintains firm faith, one is certain to receive the great protection of the gods."
**There is another gosho which has been translated slightly differently for the same Japanese "'If one's mind is strong, the protection of the gods also is sure to be firm.'
"Errors of the True Word and Other Schools," WND II, p. 437, A quote found throughout the gosho, from Volume eight of "The Annotations on "Great Concentration and Insight" by Miao-lo.
