-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's always be on our guard
especially when a strong typhoon
or hurricane is approaching!
Never underestimate the risks
or consequences
of weather conditions
such as heavy rainfall, high waves,
strong winds, etc. which might be
well beyond our expectations.
Our "usual prudence" is what really matters
and our safety must always be our top priority.
Let's all try to stay accident free!

* This guidance is obviously applicable to anyone anywhere, but at this particular moment Japan is experiencing a very strong typhoon which is gradually working its way up the country with heavy rainfall. The amount of rain has, in some areas, never ever been seen before and is causing massive floods, landslides, etc..

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'How can I encourage this member to make a fresh determination in faith?' 'How can I help this family form a connection with Nichiren Buddhism?' 'How can I increase the ranks of those dedicated to happiness and justice in my community?' Such earnest concerns as leaders of our movement are practical and down-to-earth. Above all, they are the noble concerns of a Buddha.

"That is why the wisdom and power of the life state of Buddhahood well forth within us.

"That is why, through awakening to our Buddha nature and helping others do the same, we are able to build and spread a network of trust and respect where everyone supports and encourages one another in the midst of the challenges of these troubled times."
