* We're way out in the countryside of England and WiFi and mobile signals are a bit weak so there may be some delay! Apologies!
A translation of "Words of the Week" published in the Seikyo Shinbun based
on President Ikeda's recent guidance, and more.
July 30th - August 5th, 2018
-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
The Daishonin teaches,
"The seeds of Buddhahood sprout as a result of conditions."*
This summer let's cherish every opportunity we have to meet new people
and at the same time deepen the friendships we do have!
Let's also help newer and younger members to improve their
strengths and talents this summer.
And lastly, together, let's elevate and expand our life conditions this summer!

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Expectations around the world are rising for the humanistic ideals that we of the Soka Gakkai are promoting. The bright eyes and brilliant smiles of our youthful Bodhisattvas of the Earth shine as a source of a hope for changing our times and building a better world.
"We have entered a new phase of development in our movement for kosen-rufu --the compassionate propagation of the Mystic Law—with courageous young bodhisattvas now 'emerging at the same instant' (cf. LSOC15, 252) all over the globe.
"Let us further expand and demonstrate the vitality and strength of 'Soka Gakkai Buddha,' breathing life into the Buddhism of the people and fulfilling the great vow to spread the Mystic Law throughout the entire world!"
