"'Ordinary people keep in mind the words "earnest resolve" and thereby become Buddhas.'
- From 'The Gift of Rice' (WND–1, 1125).
"Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism of the people is the teaching of universal enlightenment. 'Ernest resolve,' strong determination in faith, is the key for ordinary people to attain Buddhahood, just as they are.
"It is the heart that is important. When we strive sincerely in our own capacities for the sake of the Law, the happiness of our friends, and the realisation of the Daishonin's ideal of 'establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land,' while grappling with our own problems and worries, we can attain a state of unshakeable happiness.
"Let's express our appreciation and praise for our fellow members' noble dedication and together saver ever-greater joy and benefit!"
