--- DAILY GOSHO ---
I am praying that, no matter how troubled the times may become, the Lotus Sutra and the ten demon daughters will protect all of you, praying as earnestly as though to produce fire from damp wood, or to obtain water from parched ground.

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"This year will mark the 750th anniversary of the Daishonin's triumph over the Tatsunokuchi Persecution* in Sagami Province [present-day Kanagawa Prefecture], the moment when he "cast off the transient and revealed the true" (on September 12th, 1271). At that time, the Daishonin was 50 years old--the age of many of today's men's division members.

"At the execution site at Tatsunokuchi, when his disciple Shijo Kingo cried, "These are your last moments!" The Daishonin declared with conviction and composure, "What greater joy could there be? [You should smile and rejoice!]" (WND–1, 767).

"Amid great hardship, we can attain an unsurpassed state of life. That is a fundamental truth of Nichiren Buddhism."

Our Brilliant Human Revolution - Ushering In a New Day of Hope, from the January 19th, 2021 edition of Seikyo Newspaper, translation released April 2021.

*Tatsunokuchi Persecution: the failed attempt, instigated by powerful government figures, to behead of the Daishonin under the cover of darkness on the beach at Tatsunokuchi, on the outskirts of Kamakura, on September 12th, 1271.
