"We are the Bodhisattvas of the Earth! We have vowed from the infinite past to enable all people in this troubled age to attain enlightenment! When we strive with this sense of pride, we have nothing to fear. Just like fish that are at home in the water or birds that fly freely through the sky, we can confidently go out into society and spread the seed of Buddhahood from one person to another as a cause for their happiness.
"We have each appeared in this world accompanied by innumerable companions with whom we share deep karmic ties. Therefore, let's engage in courageous dialogue to help others form a connection with Buddhism, awakening ever-growing numbers to their mission as Bodhisattvas of the Earth."
