-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The Daishonin
encourages us to rejoice,
"(Even if you are not
the Venerable Mahākāshyapa,)
you should all perform a dance."*
This spirit of dancing with joy
is the very driving force
for the expansion of our
kosen-rufu movement.
The more difficult our situation might be,
the more passionately we burn
to challenge ourselves!

*Mahākāshyapa and Shāriputra danced with joy in the Lotus Sutra (Simile and Parable chapter) when they heard the Buddha's teaching of universal enlightenment, and realised that they, too, could become Buddhas.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens."

(Happiness in This World
- WND, Vol. 1, page 681)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Rather than seek a 'reorganisation of external forms alone,' it's important that we take a gradualist approach, steadily cultivating the spiritual Earth of the people to produce a rich harvest of happiness. As the Great Indian champion of nonviolence Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) said: 'Good travels at a snails pace.'"*

The Buddhism of the Sun—Illuminating the World, [68] Be Victors in the Journey of Life and Kosen-rufu, A Magnificent Epic of Ordinary People, December 2020 issue of the Daibyaku Renge Study Journal, translation released Oct. 2021.
