-- TO MY FRIENDS --
(With the cold weather approaching,)
let's pay special attention to protecting ourselves
against catching a cold or influenza.
Everything depends on maintaining a good rhythm in our daily lives.
Let's always use our prudence*
and follow basic common sanitary practices
such as washing our hands thoroughly
and rinsing our mouths out regularly.
Staying healthy is the key to our advancement
(in our lives as well as towards kosen-rufu)!

Gosho, "It is a matter of rejoicing that your usual prudence and courage, as well as your firm faith in the Lotus Sutra, enabled you to survive unharmed." - "The Strategy of the Lotus Sutra", WND-I, page 1000

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"The deeper the roots, the more luxuriant the branches. The farther the source, the longer the stream."
(The Farther the Source, the Longer the Stream - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, page 940)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"It's the heart that matters. Our sincere care and earnest prayers for others will definitely reach them. Our voice and our words are also important. The Daishonin writes: 'Words echo the thoughts of the mind and find expression through the voice'
(WND-2, 843). Speaking out with a voice filled with compassion, with conviction, or for the sake of truth can transform the other person's heart."
