--- TO MY FRIENDS ---
All the advancement and progress of the people in Tohoku*
is definitely giving great hope to the entire world.
May all of our fellow members in Tohoku,
who are confronting these trying times with the indomitable Michinoku spirit,**
shine with victory and glory.

*Tohoku is the area where the great earthquake in March occurred
**Michinoku is a geographical region of northern Honshu, Japan.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"If they were people who understood their obligations or were capable of reason, then out of two blows that fall on me, they would receive one in my stead."
(Reply to Yasaburo - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, page 828) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, September 2nd, 2011

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Putting our beliefs into practise is a part of the drama of life. When we feel engaged, we feel inspired. Of course, we will sometimes make mistakes, but the experience of not allowing those mishaps to hinder us, of getting back up again and fighting through to the end, inspires others. Stories about overcoming seemingly impossible odds can ignite the spirits of those who are feeling powerless and without hope, giving them courage to break through their own limitations."
SGI Newsletter No. 8311, The New Human Revolution––Vol. 24: Chap. 4 , Beacon 10, translated Aug. 31st, 2011
