--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"For those who have faith in the Lotus Sutra, but whose faith is not deep, it is as though a half moon were lighting the darkness. But for those who have profound faith, it is as though a full moon were illuminating the night."

(The Essence of the "Medicine King" Chapter - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 94)
Selection source: Together with the Gosho - President Ikeda'a encouragement, Seikyo Shimbun, May 1st, 2012

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The Daishonin also said that if we create bad causes we will reap bad effects. For example: 'One who robs another of food and clothing is sure to fall into the world of hungry spirits' (WND-1, 305). Naturally, anyone who creates the worst of all bad causes, widespread slander of the correct teaching, will be recompensed with terrible suffering.

"Our present circumstances are by no means accidental. As the Daishonin wrote, quoting a sutra: 'If you want to understand the causes that existed in the past, look at the results as they are manifested in the present. And if you want to understand what results will be manifested in the future, look at the causes that exist in the present' (WND-1, 279).

"The reward for dedicating oneself to the True Law is boundless benefit and happiness. Buddhism starts with this confirmation of the law of cause and effect that functions in life."
