-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Even though there are lots of things that can be said at large meetings
there are always some things that cannot be said at such get-togethers.
I hope that leaders will find the time
to talk with people on a one to one basis.
It's when everyone has a good understanding of what is going on
and is behind such activities
that we can truly gear ourselves up to take those big strides forwards!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"What is most important is that, by chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo alone, you can attain Buddhahood. It will no doubt depend on the strength of your faith. To have faith is the basis of Buddhism."
(The Real Aspect of the Gohonzon - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 832)
Selection source: President Ikeda's Encouragement - Together with the Gosho, Seikyo Shimbun, May 18th, 2012

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'What is most important is that, by chanting only Nam- myoho-renge-kyo, you can attain Buddhahood. It will no doubt depend on the strength of your faith. To have faith is the basis of Buddhism.'
- From "The Real Aspect of the Gohonzon" (cf. WND-1, 832).

"Faith in the Mystic Law is the basis for victory. Those who continue to chant daimoku through all are admirable and strong without compare. When we resolutely bring forth the power of faith and practice, we can manifest the boundless power of the Buddha and the Law in our lives.

"No matter what the situation, first chant. Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the ultimate driving force that enables us to break through all obstacles, undefeated by any problem or suffering."

SGI Newsletter No. 8525, Living the Gosho: Words of Encouragement from SGI President Ikeda. (78) Faith Is the Basis for Everything, from the 18th May, 2012, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translated 25th May 2012.
