"Another point I would like to make is that when we notice someone doing something that we find admirable or good, we shouldn't hesitate to let them know. That, too, can be an opening for a more meaningful conversation. By honestly praising people's good points and actions, we can communicate heart to heart.

"Another way to get a conversation going is to show our respect for the other person and ask them questions with a seeking spirit to learn from them. By being a good listener and asking perceptive questions, we can even bring to light strong points and qualities that the other person themselves didn't know they possessed."
