"Just look at our members. They are upholding the great vow for kosen-rufu in the Latter Day of the Law, an evil age of conflict and unending strife. Aware that "the voice does the Buddha's work" (cf. OTT, 4), they are engaging in heartfelt dialogue to share the ideals of Nichiren Buddhism with others. How their faces shine with pride and a vibrant radiance!
"Nichiren Daishonin, having overcome the Tatsunokuchi Persecution and numerous other life-threatening crises, declared: "Because I have persevered without fear, there are now people who think my teachings may be true" (WND-1, 489). In other words, precisely because he had fearlessly and consistently proclaimed the truth of Buddhism, even those who had originally opposed him eventually began to conclude that what he was saying might be right.
"Directly carrying on the Daishonin's persevering efforts to spread the Mystic Law, undeterred by any hardship, we of the SGI are now expanding trust and understanding for our movement around the world."
