--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"I am as concerned about the illness of your wife, the lay nun Toki, as though it were I myself who is ailing, and day and night I pray to the heavenly gods that she will recover."

(Prayer for the Lay Nun's Recovery
- WND, Vol. II, page 666)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'The votary of the Lotus Sutra must be like the great sea as compared to the various rivers and streams, like Mount Sumeru among the host of mountains, like the god of the moon amid the multitude of stars, like the great god of the sun amid the other shining lights, like the wheel-turning kings, like the lord Shakra, and like the great king Brahma among all various heavenly kings.'
- From "On Repaying Debts of Gratitude"
(WND-1, 711).

"The practitioners of the Lotus Sutra strive to demonstrate the power of Buddhism in the midst of society. Their life state is as lofty as Mount Sumeru, and they possess the dignity of great leaders. This is because they uphold the world's foremost philosophy, and their committed efforts shine with nobility.

"Buddhism is about winning. Kosen-rufu will advance to the extent we courageously reach out and talk about the greatness of Nichiren Buddhism to others in our communities and societies."

SGI Newsletter No. 9652, Advancing with the Gosho: Words of Encouragement from SGI President Ikeda, (70) Take Action Based on the World's Foremost Philosophy, from the June 24, 2017, issue of the Seikyo Shinbun, translation released 11th July, 2017
