-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Beware of sudden heavy rainfall
and lightening.
At the same time,
let's strengthen our guard against
tornadoes and landslides.
By wisely collecting accurate information
from reliable sources,
let's make sure that our safety
is the top priority before anything else!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"When you shake your head, your hair sways; when your mind begins to work, your body moves. When a strong wind blows, the grass and trees can no longer remain still; when the earth shakes, the seas are atremble. Thus if one can move Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings, can the grass and trees fail to respond, can the waters remain calm?"

(Concerning the Statue of Shakyamuni Buddha Fashioned by Nichigen-nyo
- WND, Vol. II, page 811)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Mr. Toda also said: 'A person's 'greatness' is not determined by their position or title. It is determined by whether or not they possess true ability.' A person's social status or prestige has nothing to do with their qualifications as a Soka Gakkai leader. The basic criteria are faith and the person's human qualities and abilities. In other words, we have to discern whether they are serious, diligent, and persevering.

"Mr. Toda used to say: 'Favourable circumstances do not necessarily produce excellence. It is amid adversity and hardship that people of greatness and true ability are born.' Unremarkable lives produce unremarkable people."
