The Mystic Law of
Nichiren Buddhism
is "the teaching of revive
or return to life,"*
which enables us to lead
everything in our lives
in a positive direction.
Through our Buddhist practice,
our negative tendencies
are transformed into
positive qualities,
and our strengths
can become even stronger.
Let's play out the drama
of kosen-rufu
in our own very unique way!
* "Myo means to revive,
that is, to return to life."

"'The king Wonderful Adornment was an evil king. However, because his two sons, Pure Storehouse and Pure Eye, guided him to the way, he and his wife were both able to place their trust in the Lotus Sutra and become Buddhas. Mysteriously enough, your own circumstances [the circumstances of you, Matsuno Rokuro Saemon-no-jo, and your wife] are much the same.

"The Soka Gakkai guideline of 'Faith for a harmonious family'* is derived directly from the teachings of the Lotus Sutra. Families of all kinds are able to enjoy the wonderful benefit of the Mystic Law and proceed along the path of eternal happiness without fail.
"We are connected to our families by deep karmic bonds. Let's avoid getting into arguments with them about faith. Instead, let's brightly and compassionately illuminate them with the warm light of our daimoku, whatever happens. Let's make uplifting melodies of hope resound from our homes and flow out into our communities and society."
