-- TO MY FRIENDS --
We are all living in an evil age defiled by the five impurities.*
Let's be very careful, therefore, not to be deceived by
any form of fraud or scam.
Let's constantly remind each other about this sort of thing and
try to see through clever tricks and lies.
Let's make every effort to support and uphold
all activities to protect our local community and its people!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Whether or not your prayer is answered will depend on
your faith; [if it is not] I will in no way be to blame."

(Reply to the Lay Nun Nichigon - The Writings of Nichiren
Daishonin, Vol.1, page 1079) Selection source: "Kyo no
Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, December 3rd, 2008

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'I think,' said Marie Curie, 'that one can have an interesting and useful
life at any age. What is necessary is not to waste it and to be able to say,
[I did what I could.]' Everyone, regardless of the times in which they
live, has a unique mission that only they can fulfil. There's no need to
become someone extraordinary. There's no need to be famous or live out your
life in the spotlight. Ordinary is perfectly fine. Just shine in the way
that is true to yourself. The important thing is to be able to say you have
done all that you could.

"When things are going smoothly, it's often difficult for us to bring forth
our true power and potential. But facing adversity head-on enables us to tap
the hidden reserves of our real strength. It is through valiantly
challenging our hardships that we can realise our greatest dreams and
highest ideals."

SGI Newsletter No. 7666, ON THE LIFE OF MARIE CURIE, [6] Adorn Your Life
with Victory, from the Feb. 29th, 2008, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun,
translated Dec. 2nd, 2008.
