-- TO MY FRIENDS --
It is said,
"Don't halloo till you are out of the woods."
Overconfidence is our greatest enemy,
especially after a successful achievement.
Buddhism is all about 'true cause'.*
"From now is what matters! I'm ready for a new challenge!"
Let's always have such a spirit, such a fresh new determination.
*Whether experiencing suffering or joy, we need to
continue chanting the Mystic Law with the prayer in our
hearts to attain Buddhahood in this lifetime. No matter
what happens, we need to continue advancing a step at a
time towards kosen-rufu, in high spirits and with robust
hearts. Those who maintain such a strong mind of faith
moment by moment will be embraced in the original Buddha's
immense and boundless compassion. This is the wonderful
essence of the Buddhism of the "mystic principle of true
cause."

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"It goes without saying, therefore, that persons who study
the teachings of Buddhism must also [observe the ideal of
filial piety and] understand and repay their obligations."

Daishonin, Vol.1, page 228) Selection source: "Kyo no
Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, December 29th, 2008

---- WORDS OF THE WEEK ----
Thank you all so very much for all your selfless,
dedicated efforts,
that made this whole year a great victory and success!
The Daishonin encourages us,
"You will grow younger, (and your good fortune will
accumulate.)"*
Brimming with a youthful and passionate spirit, more than ever,
let's together launch off on a fresh start towards the victory
of 'Mentor and Disciple'!
