-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Be extremely careful about not causing or being involved in a traffic accident.
Observing traffic rules is the way to protect oneself,
as well as those around us!
Taking good care of our health is also important.
Don't forget to take every possible precaution
and exercise "your usual prudence,"(*)

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"It is said that, if a teacher has a good disciple, both will gain the fruit of Buddhahood, but if a teacher fosters a bad disciple, both will fall into hell. If teacher and disciple are of different minds, they will never accomplish anything."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"I'm sure you all know the great English poet and playwright William Shakespeare (1564–1616). In one of his plays, he wrote: 'Let me speak proudly: . . . / We are but warriors for the working-day; / [We] are all besmirch'd / With rainy marching in the painful field; . . . / But . . . our hearts are [splendid].'[1] Let's advance with this pride!

SGI Newsletter No. 8469, from SGI President Ikeda's speech at the 26th Soka Gakkai Headquarters Leaders Meeting in Tokyo, on February 11th, 2009.
