-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's put a spring in our steps and get out and meet our friends!
All the conversations we engage in
are actions to help others form a connection with Buddhism.
Every time we decide to take action,
we are certain of making a new history!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens. How could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law? Strengthen your power of faith more than ever."

(Happiness in This World - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 681)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Mr. Toda often said: 'Strive harder than anyone to foster your juniors,' and 'Those who support the youth in using their potential to the fullest are truly admirable.'

"Fostering the youth isn't merely a matter of talking to them at meetings. The outer formalities are not important; what counts is the depth of our concern for others. We should always interact sincerely with young people, as if they were our younger brothers and sisters or our own children.

"It is important that we do our best to support and guide others so that they can remain steadfast in faith throughout their life, come what may. And should someone temporarily stray from the path of faith, we should continue to chant for them and support them so that they can once more join us in striving for kosen-rufu. This is a point that we must never forget. Please chant for each person to lead a life brimming with benefit and to savor the deep joy of practicing the Daishonin's Buddhism."

SGI Newsletter No. 8476, On Our Shared Journey for Kosen-rufu, (3) Organisations That Foster Young People Flourish, from the February 19th, 2012, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translated March 22nd, 2012
