"On the other, it is to voice what one truly has in mind. Thus one's thoughts are expressed in one's voice. The mind represents the spiritual aspect, and the voice, the physical aspect. The spiritual aspect manifests itself in the physical. A person can know another's mind by listening to the voice. This is because the physical aspect reveals the spiritual aspect."

"Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'You must not spend your lives in vain and regret it for ten thousand years to come' (WND-1, 622). These are immortal words.

"As human beings, it is inevitable that we experience regrets of one kind or another in the course of our lives. We are bound to have some regrets. That is part of being human. That is part of life. . . .

"In contrast, we—the courageous champions of kosen-rufu, advancing unswervingly towards life's true goal, committed to the pursuit of real and lasting happiness—live in such a way that we have no regrets. Living a life of no regrets—this is what Nichiren Daishonin teaches. How to live such an unsurpassed life—this is what we of the SGI are teaching the world. Let us advance with joy, confidence, and courage in this knowledge."
