-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Nichiren Daishonin assures us:
"No prayer will go unanswered."*
Let's embark upon all of our endeavours in life
by first and foremost chanting daimoku brimming with conviction!
Let's plunge wholeheartedly into our "February Campaign"**,
so that all of our efforts will shine brilliantly throughout history!

*"If you have faith in this Gohonzon and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo
even for a short while, no prayer will go unanswered, no offence
unexpiated, no good fortune unbestowed, and all righteousness proven."

**In February 1952, at the age of 24, Daisaku Ikeda spearheaded a
significant breakthrough in the Soka Gakkai's propagation efforts with
the aim of actualising his mentor Josei Toda's vision for kosen-rufu.
The historic drive is today known as the "February Campaign" of Kamata
Chapter.

"Whatever the time or place, you and I are deeply and strongly connected through our daimoku infused with the vow for kosen-rufu. We share a diamond-like bond that nothing can ever destroy.

"The Daishonin writes: 'When the lion king . . . roars, the hundred cubs will then feel emboldened, and the heads of those other beasts and birds of prey will be split into seven pieces' (cf. WND-1, 949). The 'lion's roar' of a single courageous successor can transform everything.

"The times are growing more troubled and chaotic. Let us, therefore, make the 'lion's roar' of our daimoku for the happiness of ourselves and others ring out even more powerfully… and in the areas of our respective missions. Let us strive to vanquish every form of inhumanity and injustice, and work without end to enhance the dignity and strength of all with whom we share a profound karmic connection as Bodhisattvas of the Earth.

"Let's continue our unflagging efforts to talk with others about the humanistic ideals of Nichiren Buddhism, so that our voices of hope and confidence reach those who are suffering, our voices of truth and value creation pervade our troubled society, and our voices of peace and solidarity spread throughout our divided world."
