— TO MY FRIENDS —
Faith means to summon up the courage
to never ever give in, no matter what.
We can absolutely overcome
any kind of hardship or challenge
based on the Buddhist principle,
"changing poison into medicine."*
Let's all courageously advance along the path of
fulfilling our vital and unique roles in life!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"There is no true happiness for human beings other than chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo."

(Happiness in This World - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, page 681) Selection source: SGI President Ikeda's guidance, Seikyo Shimbun, Feb 9th, 2014

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ——
"Encouraging sincere, dedicated members, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda once said: 'Life in this world is not easy. But no matter what happens, it's important that you keep chanting wholeheartedly and working for kosen-rufu, just as the Daishonin teaches. If you do that, you'll be able to succeed. Your problems are fuel for attaining Buddhahood.' Faith in the Daishonin's Buddhism gives us the power to move everything in a positive direction.

"Proudly upholding this great philosophy of supreme hope, please start by engaging in your local community, helping as many people as possible form a connection with Nichiren Buddhism and spreading a glorious rainbow of victory into the new era of worldwide kosen-rufu."

SGI Newsletter No. 8919, Opening a New Era of Kosen-rufu Together, (3) Faith Gives Us the Power to Move Everything in a Positive Direction, from 19th Jan., 2014, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun translated 28th Jan, 2014
