-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Relying on just strategies and tactics
does not make for a truly capable person.
It's people who never flinch from taking on hardships
and labour through each of their endeavours, giving it their very best,
who are, at the end of the day, the ones who are assured of certain victory!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"(Exert yourself in the two ways of practice and study. Without
practice and study, there can be no Buddhism. You must not only
persevere yourself; you must also teach others. Both practice and
study arise from faith.) Teach others to the best of your ability,
even if it is only a single sentence or phrase."
(The True Aspect of All Phenomena- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, page 386)

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Mr. Toda often told leaders: 'When you're tired, that's the very time to read the Gosho! Even just a line or two is fine. Read the Gosho and expand your life just that little bit more.'
"I always used to jot down Gosho quotes in my diary during my youthful days spent striving alongside my mentor to overcome adversity in postwar Japan. Among them were the Daishonin's words: 'The mighty sword of the Lotus Sutra must be wielded by one courageous in faith. Then one will be as strong as a demon armed with an iron staff' (WND-1, 412).
"Although my battle with ill heath continued, I still did my best to study the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin and to share them with others. Even when friends I'd arranged to meet didn't show up at the last minute or I wasn't able to bring a guest to a discussion meeting, I kept rousing my courage and challenging myself anew. This is because Buddhist practice creates genuine value in each person's life."
