--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"(There is no true happiness for human beings other than chanting
Nam-myoho-renge-kyo ...) Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what
there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and
continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens. (How
could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law?")

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"In his editorial for the February 1952 issue of the Soka Gakkai study journal, Daibyakurenge, Mr. Toda warned that members would never be inspired to share Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism with others if leaders just ordered them about, instead of helping them understand the greatness of faith and the benefit to be gained through chanting to the Gohonzon.[1]

"If each member gained confidence in the power of faith, they would naturally wish to share it with their friends and take action to do so. Conviction gives rise to joy and courage, and inspires fresh efforts at dialogue.

"By focusing on the groups, meetings would become more about the members rather than ceremony. This would allow members to take a more prominent role in activities and give them the confidence to take action. Anywhere that members take personal initiative to courageously engage others in Buddhist dialogue is a vitally important stage for opening fresh horizons in our movement for kosen-rufu.

"That is why the activities I carried out as chapter adviser of Tokyo's Kamata Chapter during that February Campaign were focused on grassroots, hands-on efforts that involved meeting directly with each member, chanting with them, taking action with them, and striving together with them."
