-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Those who continue on practicing this faith with an honest heart,
regardless of whether someone is watching or not,
are certain to become wealthy in both virtue and good fortune.
Each and every day,
let's make every effort to accumulate the treasures of the heart
that will adorn our lives throughout the three existences.*

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"There are not two lands, pure or impure in themselves. The difference lies solely in the good or evil of our minds."

(On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 4)  Selection source: Kyo no Hosshin, Seikyo Shimbun, May 2nd, 2014

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ——
"Of course, leaders ought to be well versed in Buddhist study, and I hope they would all pass their exams. But many leaders spend their days and nights helping support their juniors in faith and practice and instructing them in Buddhist study, leaving them no time to prepare for their own exam. The Gohonzon is fully aware of all of this.

"If, therefore, as a leader, you should fail to pass a study exam, please don't feel down about not passing or let it be the cause for your losing confidence in yourself. Take pride in the fact that you have helped so many of your fellow members pass their study exams and grow, and know that those efforts will become immense benefit in your life.

"In addition, I hope those who have passed the exam will remember to have respect and appreciation for the leaders who helped them study, even if they didn't pass their own exam. Such an attitude builds strong ties, and that is the spirit of Buddhism and of faith. It is how we lead our lives in the realm of Soka.

"Unity is born from a sense of appreciation."
