-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The Gosho says: "The stronger one's faith,
the greater the protection of the gods." *
A person who stands up with a strong and sincere attitude towards their practice
never fails to gain the protection of the forces of the universe!
Let's make sure we all stay in good health
and that all of our endeavours are free from accidents and incidents.

* Gosho, The Supremacy of the Law, WND-1, page 614, "The stronger
one's faith, the greater the protection of the gods. So long as one
maintains firm faith, one is certain to receive the great protection
of the gods."

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Suppose a lion has a hundred cubs. When the lion king sees its cubs
attacked by other beasts or birds of prey, he roars; the hundred cubs
will then feel emboldened, and the heads of those other beasts and
birds of prey will be split into seven pieces. The Lotus Sutra is like
the lion king, who rules over all other animals."

(The Drum at the Gate of Thunder - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin,
Volume 1, page 949)

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"In life, it is only natural that we sometimes fall ill. Based on the teaching of the Mystic Law, however, we can look at illness as an inherent part of life. Seeing it this way, we will not be swayed by illness when it happens to us, or allow it to be a source of suffering and distress. Viewed from the perspective of the eternity of life, we are definitely on the way to establishing a 'greater self' overflowing with absolute happiness. In addition, we will be able to overcome any obstacle we encounter in life, using it as a springboard for developing a new, more expansive state of being."

SGI Newsletter No. 9000, The Wisdom for Creating Happiness and Peace,
Part 1: Happiness, 2.2 Buddhahood Is the Sun within Us, from the May
2014 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 26th May, 2014
