"'Nichiren alone took the lead in carrying out the task of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth. He may even be one of them. If Nichiren is to be counted among the Bodhisattvas of the Earth, then so must his disciples and lay supporters.'

"Nothing heartens me more than seeing the tremendous efforts being made by my beloved youth division members!
"To joyfully emerge to take action at a crucial time, to readily go to the most challenging places, undeterred by any hardships―this is the hallmark of honourable young Bodhisattvas of the Earth who have directly inherited the spirit of Nichiren Daishonin.
"All of you share a vow and karmic connections from time without beginning. Through chanting strongly and engaging confidently in dialogue, please continue to call forth fellow Bodhisattvas of the Earth, one after another, to join you. This hope-filled network will extend into the future without end."
