-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The Gosho encourages us to have faith like flowing water,
which means "to believe continuously without ever regressing."
Continuity is the source of true strength.
With faith that is pure like the water of a clear stream
let's spend each day living with sincerity,
making even greater strides forwards!
* Gosho, The Two Kinds of Faith - WND1, pg. 899, "Today there are
people who have faith in the Lotus Sutra. The belief of some is like
fire while that of others is like water. When the former listen to the
teachings, their passion flares up like fire, but as time goes on,
they tend to discard their faith. To have faith like water means to
believe continuously without ever regressing."

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Whatever trouble occurs, regard it as no more than a dream, and think
only of the Lotus Sutra."
(Letter to the Brothers - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1,
page 502) Selection Source: Kyo no Hosshin, Seikyo Shinbun, July
30th, 2014
Thursday, July 31st, 2014
---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"There are times when, no matter how hard you try, things don't work out the way you wish. So, instead of dwelling on past regrets, set your sights on your next challenge. That's what makes a true victor. Such people win in the end.
"Overcoming sadness and hardship makes us stronger. We can develop greater character. Don't let setbacks keep you down forever. Hold your head up high and take a positive, courageous step forwards!"
