"The power of Bodhisattvas of the Earth is not the power of authority, or wealth, or educational background, but the true and essential power of human beings. It is the ultimate power of life.
"When we chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, take action based on our vow for kosen-rufu, and strive bravely and vigorously in our Buddhist practice, not begrudging any effort, then the courage, wisdom, and true inherent power of Bodhisattvas of the Earth, invincible and unstoppable, will well forth powerfully in our lives. This is the declaration and promise of the Daishonin."
