-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To have good friends,
that is the surest path to happiness.
By chanting with our fellow members,
our treasured friends,
and offering each other warm encouragement,
let's all lead victorious lives!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"I have believed it is most important to understand one's obligations to others, and made it my first duty to repay such debts of kindness. In
this world, we owe four debts of gratitude. One who understands this is worthy to be called human, while one who does not is no more than an animal."
(Conversation between a Sage and an Unenlightened Man- The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 122)
Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, September 7th, 2014

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ——
"Nichiren Daishonin writes to his youthful follower Nanjo Tokimitsu: 'Teaching another something is the same as oiling the wheels of a cart so that they turn even though it [the cart] is heavy, or as floating a boat on water so that it moves ahead easily' (WND-1, 1086).

"As leaders, please think deeply about what you can do to encourage each member and enable them to advance with hope and courage. Then, take the necessary steps to do so.
"Just giving guidance without putting yourself in the members' shoes isn't very meaningful. It's important that you listen to them, chant with them, open their hearts, and truly understand their situations.
"Doing everything you can to empower everyone to exercise their abilities to the fullest and advance cheerfully with pride and conviction is what makes you a true leader of Nichiren Buddhism."
