-- TO MY FRIENDS --
What per se are our "limits" are something
that we ourselves create.
By putting our heart into chanting daimoku
and actively taking the necessary actions,
let's overcome those walls within ourselves.
Let's put forth our very best
in the challenges we face today and win!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"This being so, then every place where Nichiren meets persecution is the Buddha land."

(The Persecution at Tatsunokuchi - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 196) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, September 3rd, 2014

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ——
"'If a commanding general is fainthearted, his soldiers will become cowards. If a bow is weak, the bowstring will be slack. If the wind is gentle, the waves will never rise high. This all accords with the principles of nature.'
From "The Unity of Husband and Wife" (WND-1, 464).

"The development of kosen-rufu hinges on the determination of leaders.

"As leaders, are you strongly determined to achieve victory without fail? Is there somewhere that you might have grown lax or complacent, thinking things will somehow work out on their own? A subtle difference in determination can produce an enormously different outcome.

"Courage gives rise to resolve and to action. My friends, I ask you to show outstanding leadership in kosen-rufu based on chanting strong daimoku that reverberates like a lion's roar. All victories begin in the hearts of the 'commanding generals.'"

SGI Newsletter No. 9077, Living the Gosho: (27) The Determination of Leaders Is Vital, from 2nd Sep., 2014, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 2nd Sep. 2014
