--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"The moon moves from the west eastward, a sign of how the Buddhism of India spread in an easterly direction. The sun rises in the east, an auspicious sign of how the Buddhism of Japan is destined to return to the Land of the Moon."
(On Reprimanding Hachiman - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol 2, page 936)
Selection source: Together with the Gosho, President Ikeda's encouragement series, Seikyo Shimbun, Oct. 1st, 2014

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'You [my disciples] should read this letter to one another and listen. In this defiled age, you should always talk together and never cease to pray for your next life.'
-The Votary of the Lotus Sutra Will Meet Persecution" (WND-1, 449).
"The writings of Nichiren Daishonin contain a profound philosophy for overcoming the sufferings of birth, ageing, sickness, and death and opening the way to eternity, happiness, true self, and purity.
"We read, study, and discuss the Daishonin's writings together. Buddhist study in the SGI represents a great, unprecedented study movement led by ordinary people.
"Through such efforts, we are producing countless experts in happiness, encouragement, humanity, life, and peace.
"Always having deep appreciation for those who lead study sessions or help us deepen our understanding of the Daishonin's Buddhism, let's continue to make even greater efforts in the 'two ways of practice and study' (WND-1, 386)."
