— TO MY FRIENDS —
Let's do gongyo and chant daimoku sonorously and vibrantly
with the rhythm of a galloping white horse!
Brimming with great life force,
let's make a new start full of energy
each and every day!

*"Gongyo revitalises us from the very depths of our being. Therefore, the important thing is to do gongyo each day filled with a feeling of rhythm and cadence--like a white horse galloping through the heavens. I hope you will do the kind of satisfying gongyo that leaves you refreshed and revitalised in both body and mind." --- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Even though you chant and believe in Myoho-renge-kyo, if you think the Law is outside yourself, you are embracing not the Mystic Law but an inferior teaching."

(On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, Page 3) Selection source: Kyo no Hosshin, Seikyo Shimbun, Oct 24th, 2014

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"It is human to feel some doubts and confusion in times of crisis. As ordinary mortals, this is perhaps inevitable. But whatever happens, we mustn't stop moving forwards in our Buddhist practice. We mustn't close off the path to attaining Buddhahood.

In Nichiren Buddhism, attaining Buddhahood means manifesting our own inherent Buddha nature and establishing a state of absolute happiness that nothing can disturb. Essential to achieving this are unceasing efforts to polish and develop ourselves.

Attaining Buddhahood is not a far-off goal. A Buddha is a person with the courage and wisdom to advance vigourously in any situation."
