--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Even an individual at cross purposes with himself is certain to end in failure. Yet a hundred or even a thousand people can definitely attain their goal, if they are of one mind."

(Many in Body, One in Mind - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 618)
Selection source: Teachings of Buddhism, Seikyo Shimbun, Oct 22nd, 2014

Thursday, Oct 23rd, 2014
---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The foundation underlying the Daishonin's encouragement is his belief in the infinite potential of each individual and a deep respect for all people.

"Everyone possesses the 'courage of a lion king' (WND-1, 997) and has the inherent power to break through even the greatest adversity. Through summoning up that courage and power, anyone can manifest the state of Buddhahood. That's why the Daishonin declares that, as long as we proceed based on faith, there are no trials that we need fear."

SGI Newsletter No. 9102, Learning from the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin: The Teachings for Victory [60] "The Difficulty of Sustaining Faith," Once we make it through the tunnel…, from the February 2014 issue of the Daibyakurenge, translation released 10th Oct., 2014
