-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Let's always focus on the basics.
Starting with refreshing gongyo and daimoku,
let's develop a good rhythm of dynamic progress.
The Daishonin teaches us,
"The voice carries out the work of the Buddha."*
Therefore, let's do it in a vibrant and lively voice!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Whether or not your prayer is answered will depend on your faith; [if it is not] I will in no way be to blame."

(Reply to the Lay Nun Nichigon -The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.I, page 1079)
Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, January 5th, 2015

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"During the most challenging moments of the Osaka Campaign of 1956, there is one particular passage from the Daishonin's writings that the Kansai members and I read with our lives: 'Each of you should summon up the courage of a lion king and never succumb to threats from anyone. The lion king fears no other beast, nor do its cubs. Slanderers are like barking foxes, but Nichiren's followers are like roaring lions' (WND-1, 997).

"No matter how harsh the tribulations that beset us, we never flinched. Each of us brought forth the heart of a lion king and spoke out courageously for the sake of truth and justice. We strove together, fearless and indomitable, with an indestructible, diamond-like unity, and built a great bastion of the people committed to transforming the tragic history of humankind.

"When we thoroughly challenge tough situations with an invincible spirit, we will be able to help many others form a connection to Nichiren Buddhism, and also foster many capable people. Such efforts will positively benefit society and become the hope of the world."
