-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Let's all learn about the trailblazing spirit
from our SGI pioneer members, our seniors in faith,
with their wholehearted devotion
towards achieving kosen-rufu.
It's courage that ultimately replaces compassion.
Let's hold bright and cheerful discussion meetings
that overflow with the spirit
to introduce people to this practice!*

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet"

Vol.1, page 17)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Faith in the Mystic Law is a source of great courage that enables people to live with boundless strength, wisdom, and optimism.

"To his youthful disciple Nanjo Tokimitsu, who was striving valiantly amid persecution, Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'Whatever happens, . . . you must not despair. Be firm in your approach, and if things should not go as you wish . . . , then determine to be more contented than ever' (WND-2, 576).

"Sometimes we may feel frustrated and think: 'I'm trying so hard but nothing seems to go my way. Why me?' But the fact is, such moments represent opportunities to greatly expand our state of life.

"Rather than suffering alone, seek out advice from a good senior in faith. Read the writings of Nichiren Daishonin, chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, and resolutely tackle your situation with the energetic spirit of youth. There is absolutely no obstacle you cannot overcome."
