Let's all follow in the amazing indomitable spirit of our Tohoku members*
who are shining throughout the world so brilliantly
as an example of what it means to have hope!
The Daishonin teaches,
"Myō means to revive, (that is, to return to life)."*

By demonstrating the SGI spirit of "Never Give Up," "Never Be Defeated,"

"I am filled with emotion when I recall the depth of my mentor's compassion and the warmth of his humanity. If there was someone who had lost a loved one, Mr. Toda would feel their grief as if it were his own, tears filling his eyes, and do his utmost to encourage them. I was always amazed at the extent to which he would go to encourage and show care for people who were suffering. He poured his entire being into one-on-one guidance, wholeheartedly encouraging each person with a fervent wish to help free them from unhappiness.
