-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Our discussion meetings are places where
all types of people from many walks of life come together,
people's humanity in these meetings dazzles in our interactions!
Speaking frankly and quite openly about our experiences,
let's have truly wonderful discussions
that ignite hope and joy in each others' hearts!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens. How could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law? Strengthen your power of faith more than ever."
(Happiness in This World
- WND, Vol 1, page 681)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'The first five hundred years of the Latter Day of the Law will witness the advent of Bodhisattva Superior Practices [the leader of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth], who will illuminate the darkness of ignorance and earthly desires with the light of the five characters [1] of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.'
- From "Letter to Jakunichi-bo," (WND-1, 993).
"We of the SGI, who chant and spread the Mystic Law at this present moment in the Latter Day of the Law, following in the footsteps of Nichiren Daishonin, are all champion Bodhisattvas of the Earth. Kosen-rufu is a great and noble endeavour to transform the karma of all humankind and realise world peace.
"We share deep karmic bonds as members of Soka family and have appeared in this world in accord with a vow from the distant past.
"Let's make the sun of time without beginning rise in our hearts to vanquish the darkness of suffering and cause the brilliant light of victory to shine forth."
SGI Newsletter No. 9364, Advancing with the Gosho: Words of Encouragement from SGI President Ikeda, (5) Striving as Proud Bodhisattvas of the Earth, from 17th Feb., 2016, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun translation released 4th March, 2016.
[1] Myoho-renge-kyo is written with five Chinese characters, while Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is written with seven (nam, or namu, being comprised of two characters). The Daishonin, however, often uses Myoho-renge-kyo and Nam-myoho-renge-kyo synonymously in his writings.
