-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The ties formed through our connection
to the Mystic Law last for eternity.
The daimoku that we chant
for the sake of kosen-rufu
is the ultimate benefit that we can give
to the deceased.
With our amazing fellow members,
who have such an indomitable
and undefeatable spirit,
let's advance along the path which is full
of good fortune and benefit
and that eternally shines throughout
the three existences of past, present and future!

*Tohoku Soka Gakkai members have been making outstanding effort for the past 6 years to recover from the enormous earthquake and tsunami disaster that happened on March 11th, 2017, by not only struggling for their own recovery but also by dedicating themselves to encouraging and helping others in their community.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"The heritage of the Lotus Sutra flows within the lives of those who never forsake it in any lifetime whatsoever—whether in the past, the present, or the future."

- WND, Vol. I, page 217)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"There is no more eloquent testimony to the power of faith than personal experience.

"In July 1951, the month of the youth division's founding 66 years ago, I visited Tohoku for the first time. There, I attended a discussion meeting (on July 15), at which I joyfully and confidently shared my experience of overcoming tuberculosis through my practise of Nichiren Buddhism. As I recall, eight guests at the meeting decided to start practising, which served as an important breakthrough in our efforts to expand the membership of the Tohoku youth division at that time.

"The Daishonin cites a passage from the Lotus Sutra: 'If there are those who hear the Law, then not a one will fail to attain Buddhahood' [LSOC2, 75] (cf. WND-1, 536). The more we speak out and share our experiences, the more we can help others form a connection with Nichiren Buddhism. Through doing so, we sow the seeds of happiness in our own hearts and those of others—seeds that will someday bloom gloriously as the 'flowers' of human revolution and produce the 'fruit' of attaining Buddhahood in this lifetime.

"Day after day, we pray for the happiness of all people. We make sincere, persevering efforts to reach out to others in dialogue to promote kosen-rufu and realise the Daishonin's ideal of 'establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land.' In this way, we are building a trailblazing network of individuals committed to bringing a spring of peace, humanity, and harmonious coexistence to global society."
